Introducing CAP and OCDC

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is passionate about releasing people in our nation from a life sentence of debt, poverty and its causes. Working with the local church CAP brings good news, hope and freedom.

“CAP are unsurpassed when it comes to the debt help they give people across the country.”

Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert

The Oxford Churches Debt Centre (OCDC), operating from an office in the St Clement’s Centre,

is the base for CAP’s work in OX1, OX2, OX3, OX4 and OX33, helping lift people out of debt.

The Centre is being run by a consortium of five local churches (Emmanuel Church, Cowley Church Community, Headington Baptist Church, St Clements Church and  St Matthew’s Church) and by five amazing part-time staff.

An evening to find out more

You are invited to an evening hosted by Oxford Churches Debt Centre (CAP Oxford) to find out

more about our ministry and how you and your church could get involved.

Hot food buffet provided! (RSVP to help us know numbers)

We would love to get more churches partnering with us and we would love to be able to offer

more of CAP’s support services (Job clubs, Life Skills, CAP Money) to our clients and others in

Oxford who need them.

Who is it for?

We’re targetting the event at Church Leaders, or representatives of the church who might take a lead in this area, but anyone with a heart for this ministry is welcome.

Find out more about OCDC on our website:

We look forward to welcoming you!

Yours in Christ,   Tim Guest      (on behalf of the OCDC trustees)
